Ok, so my husband has two children from his previous marriage, a 12yr old daughter and a 10yr old boy. We have a 5yr and a 1yr old. My step-children(though I don't like the word and will only be using it for descriptive purposes) live thirty minutes away in the next town. We spend alot of trying to divide our lives between two towns, four children and an hour drive. We have talked continuously over the last few years about relocating to be closer to our children on a daily basis. However, it seems like nothing ever fits our price range or our demands. Let me also elaborate on my relationship with the mother of my step-children. We are friends, parents, and family. We have never played the part of evil ex-wife hates new wife or vise versa, very well. We spend holidays, birthdays, and even some vacations together. I know this seems odd, but our children adore it. They thrive with a huge family that loves them and wants the best for them. I should also mention that even though my own mother and grandmother live less than two minutes from my house, they haven't seen my children in months. I personally,as well as my husband come from a broken homes, dysfunctional families, and that can be very tiring on it's own. And as weird as it may seem, my husband's ex-inlaws seem to be the family neither of us had. So, where is my dilemma? Well, the house next door to our children has been put up for sale. After receiving a excited phone call from "the ex", we checked into it, and surprisingly it's everything we have wanted including affordable. I think of all four of our children being able to play, go to school, do homework, and eat dinner all on a pretty daily basis. I think about how nice it will be not only for me and our children, but for my husband, to be able to see his children EVERYDAY! So, I thought it was decided, that was until I started talking to my family and friends. All of them seem to think I am making a horrible mistake by making this move. They are telling me that I will never have my own home and my own family, that everything will be an extension of my husband's ex wife. Now I'm so nervous and I'm worried that I am making a mistake and maybe I'm being naive about everything....I just don't know. I guess I'm looking for someone else's opinion on the situation.

You can buy American deodorant at Costco or at the American Pharmacy (in Hiroo or Tachikawa ). I think your problem might be that plain men's deodorant doesn't include an antiperspirant, so the smell is covered, but not the sweating part.

The vet won't lose your dog and I haven't heard of a god vet doing something like that. Nobody will take your dog as your vet will be responsible and won't let that happen at all.

I dont know what vet would let a dog run around the office but I would not allow them to do that. Who knows what dogs come in and out, could hurt your dog, your dog could get out, no way. I would board the dog at a kennel where he is actualyl boarded. They take them out to potty 3 times a day or more, the good people play with and talk to the dogs. He will be just fine.

why not let him stay home. there are companies that pet sit, most of them are liscesed and insured. The one we use in the area are called Critter sitters. he will be in familiar surroundings and he won't be stressed as much.

Get someone who is an individual, or is a very small firm. Or board him at an experienced boarding facility. THere are many out there. Go visit a few. You don't want to be worrying about it on your trip, or get back to find him gone forever.If the dog looks sick, does not eat or play or she feels something is wrong she calls my son and informs him. He can then decide if the dog needs to see the vet, and if so, the pet sitter will take the dog to the vet for him. He always keeps his cell # handy for the sitter and the vet's name, address, and phone # where she can get it easily. This has worked out well for him and he is gone 3-4 days a week. Do not get just any pet sitter, ask around your friends and you can get a really good one.A vet isn't usually equipped for boarding long term, so your dog won't really have a place to play. Look up kennels locally, or look up kennels where you will be vacationing. You could always take them with you and find a kennel close by. I was very apprehensive about boarding my dogs, but they are always happy to see me and worn out from all the playing they do with other dogs. Do your research. visit the kennel first, let them walk you through, if they don't want to do that find another kennel. Make sure the kennel is climate controlled and that they offer extra play time, otherwise they just let them out to do their business. I recommend trying a day board first to see how your dog adjusts. Be advised that all kennels require proof of vaccines for your dog to be boarded. Good luck.

Why is my PT Cruiser Transmission bucking?

My dog is vomiting? Diarreah too?

Okay so, we had to go on vacation so we dropped her off to the kennel, then when we came back 3 days later the first thing she did when she came home was throw up mucus or something? then after a day, in the mornin she started doing diarrhea and then every day she does it, and she throws up every day all the time she eats something. we can't take her to the doctor cause my dad is super super super busy he is in another city. she's all calm and sleeping all the time. Do you ever feel like giving up?

I don't mean suicidal thoughts, because there is so much to enjoy in life. I just mean, do you ever feel like giving up at where you're at in life and moving on to something else? I've been married for 17-yrs now and have a 16-yr old son and a 13-yr old daughter. Sometimes I get such a blah out of life. Driving down the same old street from work to home, eating the same old meals, stopping at the same stores, gas stations, etc...I sometimes get an overwhelming feeling of depression. I just want to buy a bus ticket to someplace that nobody knows me and just start over fresh. I don't care if I work at a 7/11 and make minimum wage and live in a kitchenette. Just as long as it is something different from what I do now. It's not simply a matter of changing jobs or moving into another house either. I have been feeling this way (more and more) for the past few years. I am a committed family man and would NEVER leave my wife or kids behind because I care about them too much. It's just these urges I get that I'm missing out on something in life. That there is more to life than what I am living. Is it wrong of me to feel this way? What can I do? Family vacations are not the solution for those of you who would suggest just taking a good vacation.

Then employ the things I did for my husband, when I feel that its getting mundane for him I send him to live at a hotel for a week or two. I make him go to work from there. Sometimes while he's at the hotel I come to see him alone or sometimes I bring the children and we have dinner at the hotel. Sometimes I let him come home and we are at my sister's for a week and we go to school and work from my sister's so he can have the house all to himself. Some times for about three weeks at a time I make Thursday Dad's day to cook dinner. Sometimes I have Dad fix breakfast, the kids lunches, and dinner for a week. The first time I did this it scared him half to death so when he called my sisters house I let him know that women's intuition was at work and whenever I felt he needed it I was going to employ unwarned events for him. Now I have come home from one of these" difference excursions" and found pizza where it shouldn't be and drinking having gone on. But I trust my husband. You might also try to find some volunteer work that you can do one night of the work week and maybe stay in the city overnight. It switches things up. Also my mother always told me never come home the same way everyday.We also have family night with no excuses we eat together and play games and we have "different food" and "different country" night- I play spanish records during dinner and speak in Spanish as much as I can, I cook a Spanish meal (as best I can)It's Spanish, Mexican, Japanese, Italian everything until everyone goes to bed. Sometimes I go to the supermarket and bring home a fruit or food we have never had before and we figure out how to cook it or eat it. Good luck with your difference excursions.

Here's my story. It's long, so I'll try to make it short. I got married 2 yrs ago to someone who used to live in New Zealand. He moved to the states to be with me. His big family(9siblings) lives in New Zealand. On our wedding day, none of his family went to our wedding. They said it was too far and that they don't have time. On our wedding day, everyone from my side of the family was present except for his family. Before our wedding, we did flew to New Zealand to be with his family and to celebrate our engagement. His family had some home cooked meals for us and gave us our wedding gifts. That was that. My question was, would anyone out there still hold grudges against their inlaws for not attending their son's wedding? My husband was mad for a while because no one from his side showed up, but eventually he had forgiven them. BUT somehow I can't seem to let it go. Here are some more useful info. A few months after our wedding, some of his siblings went to Europe for vacationing and since they said they were on the way to the states, they dropped by and visited us. Only cause it was convenient. Several months after that his other siblings went to Canada for a friends wedding. They also dropped by to visit us for a few days cause it was on the way and convenient for them. We found out that on the month of our wedding, a few of his siblings went to Thailand for vacationing, went to Australia and Vietnam. His siblings are well off and they are not poor. They are just very inconsiderate. We offered to pay the flight tickets for his parents but they said they are too old to fly. The siblings can can travel everywhere but can not attend their own brother's wedding. I am just so pissed thinking of how inconsiderate they are. What do you think? Well, they are your in-laws, so they aren't going anywhere soon. If they are constantly avoiding ways to be involved in your life, then that's their loss. The elderly man across the street from me owns a cat. Our family has babysat the cat while the owner has left for vacations before. This past Friday night, the 11th, my friend, dad and I had just gotten home from a late night walk, and we were stopping to get some water. When we looked out the window we saw that the cat was sitting in the owners driveway. So we decided to go outside and try to get him to come to us, so we could let the owner know he was there. When my friend approached him, she simply put her hand out and he walked towards her, but when she picked him up, he started hissing and got really upset. So I told her I'd take him to the door, and when she handed him to me, he started hissing some more and whacked me in the face with his front paw (he does not have claws in his front paws but does in the back) Now I don't recall if he scratched or bit my arm when I picked him up, but if he did scratch or bite me, I don't believe he broke my skin. He jumped out of my hands and ran into the bushes. It wasn't until later, he finally returned home and he walked back into his house, when the owner got home. Ever since then, by some chance, I've been super worried that the cat might have gotten rabies while roaming around that night, God for bid. I'm super concerned he might have passed the rabies on to me (even if he had any) Like I said though, I don't believe he broke my skin, and the owner told me he's had his rabies vaccinations, but I'm still worried and I can't stop thinking about it. Can you get rabies if a bite or scratch does not break the skin? Can you get it even though the cat was vaccinated? You can only get rabies if the saliva or blood of an infected animal somehow gets inside you. If it BITES you, it's saliva gets into your blood and that's how you get it. But you can also get it if it's saliva or blood gets in your eye or mouth. You CANNOT get rabies from a SCRATCH that didn't break the skin. Try to relax.

Yes, my mom got sick in Italy and hurt her back in Spain while traveling with my Dad. The experience was stressful because she is unused to accents (and they couldn't even find someone who spoke English in the area of Spain they were in), but the staff was very courteous and supportive.

"additional details"... her and her friend took 2 trips to vegas and one to san diego to meet him. I confronted her the next day and she said it was just a kiss and she was going to go on vacation again with her mother during labor day weekend. I told her I wouldnt allow that but anyways she took some of her clothes from our house and during that week i was heartbroken. As i came to find out last week, she slept with the guy around 10 times and she feels that she is happy yet sad at the same time. She is not regretful of what she did but she is sad for what she did to me. She would still tell me she loved me and I was an idiot enough to meet her at he workplace and then later in the day sleep with her after numerous advice of not to do it. Overall I feel bad for her she is so confused, made out with her friend there and went into detail of what she did with the guy, I am the idiot for allowing her to even share that with me. She dropped classes at college with me and recently has been very rude through texts with me. I am so glad I am the better person and i never bitched her out or anything like that. I told her to be careful and I only wish what is best for her. I blocked her off my iphone but i can still see the text messages that she sends me, the recent ones saying "tell your mom to stop leaving me voicemails because we will never have another relationship again", my moms english isnt so good but what she told her is to stop being a pain and that my mother wished to meet with her and her mom to advice her. I know she shouldnt even be contacting her and i am trying my best to move on, but there is still the feeling inside of me that she is a good person making really bad choices. She did try to get back with me but i pushed her away and I kinda wish that i wouldve just let her go from the beginning. This woman played so many games with me telling me she is in love with me, can a girl really be out of love in a period of a week? What hurts the most is the way she is treating me and wanting to take the furniture from the house since they were a gift from her moms. I told her to give me the ring back but she would rather keep it and i am keeping the furniture. She also agreed to sign the house over to my name so i need to do that asap. I havent had a job in 2 months since i was fired by her mom for arguing with my wife too much. I admit i did neglect her at night sometimes because i was busy on craigslist trying to make money for the both of us. I am done blaming myself but i just want to know if i was blind to see this. She is still an amazing girl but i really want to change my perspective about her. I took her off of my myspace and facebook and she has a picture of the guy and her in her profile facebook. She was my first for everything and I dont know where i would be right now if it wasnt for the support of my brother his wife and my parents. I have been going to church and that is helping me but i just feel betrayed that she is acting like this now when everyone knows how good of a guy i am. Any advice from girls, what should i do, i know move on but i want it to make it hurt for her.

As a person who's been through an ugly divorce, I can tell you that the best way to conduct yourself through all of this is not to stoop to her level of ugliness or game playing or nasty behavior. Be the gentleman that you have been, act with honesty & integrity, don't try to hurt her even if it might feel better to do so, and don't be her doormat either. Stand firm in your convictions that you are in the right and then don't back down when she attempts to manipulate you. Life has a way of balancing things out & your last statement of your question when you said you want it to hurt for her will happen sure enough on its own without you having to do anything but to maintain your ground & to act with the honor and integrity that you obviously seem to possess already. One day, when you are ready, you will hopefully meet the fortunate girl who will be worthy of the love that you have to give. I wish you all the best.

How do I get this girl to like me?

I'm a 14 year old in 8th grade in the middle school, with the body and mind of a 16 year old, and I have a growing crush on a 9th grader in the high school. The year before that, when I was in 7th grade, and she was in 8th, we were good friends. She is pretty popular, and is friends with everybody, so I'm not sure if we were really GOOD friends. We will text every now and then, and try to pass by each other to start a conversation sometimes when I have football practice, and she has cross country training around the football field. But this doesn't seem like the kind of communication that means we like each other. It's more of a really good friends kind of relationship. She is absolutely gorgeous in both her personality and appearance. And I mean gorgeous. These traits have made me like her more and more since I met her. If I wanted to, I could probably go out with anybody in my grade, but I choose not to because everyone in my grade is either not my type, not mature enough, or just a total *****. She just seems like the only one for me at his point. I know this is just some serious school crush that happens to everyone, but I'm going crazy. I'm also being a little careful. One of the only people I went out with in my grade seemed the same way to me at the time. She was really pretty, athletic, smart, and cool, but I discovered going out with her that she got mad over small things. For example. I went to the beach for vacation, and forgot my phone charger, so couldn't talk to her for a week, and when I finally got home and tried to explain what happened to her, she started ignoring me until I finally ended it. But something tells me that wouldn't happen again with this one. I'm just kinda confused. Opinions and suggestions would rock.
