Do you ever take spontaneous mini-vacations, save to take planned trips or just rather stay home?

Question:

If I need a vacation, a mini one will get me rejuvenated.

Answers:

I can remember working in a factory for twelve hours all night, my wife pulled up to take me home, and before we left the parking lot we decided to leave right then for Florida, no clothes , no going back home to make sure everything was locked up and no packing. I drove for 11 1/2 hrs to Florida, called our neighbor asked them to check things out. Stayed for 3 days and came home. Spontaneous, I think so!

Some of my best memories have been from spontaneous vacations. You always have a chance that things may not work out, but it will always be an adventure. I have found some of the best little out of the way places to stay by turning off on the back roads. Lost? Not me!

Me, both..I put money away every month for vacations, gifts etc..last year we did a 17 week trip around the U.S. and Canada..this year we packed up @ the last minute had headed 1 hr away to the beach for 5 days..My husband is a rather stay @ home guy..but he goes with me anyhow..and admits he had a good time..

I always save to take planned trips because my passion is for travel to Europe. However, I'm lucky to live in an area that is less than 2 hours to either the beach or the mountains, so I have occasionally taken spontaneous mini vacations.

Save to take vacations----in the summer. We used to take another one right at the end of the year but haven't done that in a couple of years. I'm beginning to like my own bed the best.My spontaneous mini-vacations are when the ambulance picks me, cost is about the same as a Disneyland vacationUsually well planned trips.I do both spontaneous and planned trips.I don't have to go far to call it a vacation. Anytime I can get away from home, it's a vacation.
