Forget, love or move on?

Okay so after a few years of experimenting with guys and getting in and out of meaningless relationships and in my home town over the summer i've finally found a guy i truely like (seriously never felt this way about someone before). Problem is i don't live in my home town, i only return to it once a year during the summer vacation for about two months. I miss him already, so what to do? Continue this long distance? Or just forget about him? please help
