Question:
What percentage is used to stay home w/ a sick baby or child?
Answers:Aw, worst case scenario, you don't have the time and just take your name off the schedule. I would put your name on there!
My son is almost 3 yrs old and in 3 yrs, I’ve never used my vacation time as vacation time. It’s usually “when my son is sick†time.
Both my husband and I will work from home if the kids are sick, or work evening hours to make up for it. I think flexbile schedules for parents - well anyone- are wonderful and should be where to focus is compared to anyone bickering about what kind of parents have harder lifestyles.
Most of my vacation time goes towards either snow days or long weekends. I *usually* have enough sick time to cover if he gets sick.Hmm, the majority seems to go to child sick days. I usually got in a about 2 weeks of actual vacation days and 2 weeks of child related stay at home days. It's gotten better as he's gotten older.I have 3 personal days and 15 sick days. I took 2 personal days last year for me, and 7 sick days for my daughter.
